The Coleg y Cymoedd is one of the largest post-16 further education (FE) provider’s in Wales and resulted from a merger, in 2013, of two former FE colleges serving the regions of Rhondda Cynon Taff and Caerphilly. The College’s main business is delivering vocational and general education and training across a wide variety of vocational areas such as engineering, construction, health and care, service industries, business and commerce, science and computing from Level 1 to Level 5 and has links with a number of key employers within the region e.g. General Electric Aviation, British Airways. Furthermore it works closely with the University of South Wales and Cardiff Metropolitan University offering higher education courses in business, engineering, construction, childhood studies, teacher training and computing.
